The Brief

  • Trump called critics 'Radical Left Morons and Lunatics' for alleging Russian and Chinese support for Iran.
  • He claimed Moscow and Beijing have too much to lose by aiding Tehran.
  • Trump announced Russia would supply diesel fuel to U.S. and global markets.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday dismissed claims that Russia and China were supporting Iran, calling the allegations made by critics 'Radical Left Morons and Lunatics.'

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated he did not believe Russia and China were assisting Iran, asserting that both countries would have too much to lose by doing so.

Trump’s comments came after recent meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which discussions focused on energy supplies, economic cooperation, and bilateral relations.

According to Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov, the meeting with Putin lasted an hour and a half and was described as 'very substantive' and friendly, covering topics such as energy supplies and international issues.

Following the meeting, Trump announced that Russia would supply more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel fuel to American and global markets, with additional shipments planned for November and beyond.

Trump linked the proposed fuel supplies to a reduction in energy prices, claiming that control of the Strait of Hormuz and the Russian energy deal would lead to lower diesel prices for Americans and globally.
