- Sale marks third time a Jordan jersey from that series reached $10 million.
A game-worn, autographed Michael Jordan jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $14 million, according to Hunt Auctions.
The red jersey, worn by Jordan in Game 2 on June 5, 1998, was purchased by Miami real estate investor Ron Firman in a private sale.
The Bulls defeated the Utah Jazz in that game, evening the series at one game apiece, and went on to win the championship in six games.
The jersey was originally acquired by a private collector in 2003 and has only changed hands once since, according to Hunt Auctions.
The $14 million sale is the second-highest known price for a game-worn jersey, behind a Babe Ruth jersey that sold for $24.12 million in 2024.
This sale is the third time a Jordan jersey from the 1998 finals has reached at least $10 million, with previous sales in 2022 and last month.
