Polish security services held a special meeting on Sunday after being informed of a potential attack on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to a spokesperson.
Jace, Dobrzynski, spokesperson for the special services, stated that details could not be disclosed but emphasized the threat was being taken as 'deadly serious'.
Karolina Galecka, Interior Ministry spokesperson, confirmed that an email containing information about the potential attack had been sent to police by the State Protection Service, which handles the security of ministers.
Poland has faced security threats due to its proximity to the war in Ukraine.
In August, police detained a 23-year-old man accused of calling for the assassination of senior Polish politicians.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously reported receiving threats following an assassination attempt on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
