Packers suffer 35-14 home opener loss to Falcons

The Green Bay Packers suffered a 35-14 home opener loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night, ending their 13-game winning streak at Lambeau Field.

After the game, head coach Matt LaFleur described the defeat as a 'butt-whooping,' acknowledging the Falcons' dominance on the field.

LaFleur declined to comment on a roughing the passer call that impacted Atlanta's scoring drive, stating he would not 'get fined.'

Despite the poor offensive performance, LaFleur refused to assign blame solely to the offensive line, noting that 'there’s enough blame to go around to everybody.'

The Packers struggled to move the ball, managing just 17 rushing yards on nine attempts, while Atlanta completed 53 passes. The team missed starting tailback Josh Jacobs, who was sidelined.

With a 1-2 record, the Packers face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, setting up a potential rematch in the NFC Central rivalry.
