Joe Jonas Shares Boat Accident Experience in Italy

Joe Jonas described a frightening boat accident that occurred during a luxury vacation in Italy. The incident happened while he was transferring from a yacht to a smaller tender boat in Portofino.

Jonas was vacationing with his girlfriend, Tatiana Gabriela, and the show's host, Morgan Stewart, along with her husband, Jordan McGraw. The group had been aboard a yacht with a crew and chef before heading to a waterfront restaurant.

The restaurant required guests to use a tender boat to reach shore, but the water was rocky as the restaurant's crew approached the yacht. Jonas was first in, with a first mate helping him across.

A wave struck as he was crossing, pushing the tender far from the yacht. Jonas slipped and fell between the two boats, with the first mate also falling into the water. Jonas was fully dressed and in the water between the yacht and the tender, with his phone still in his pocket.

Jonas decided to swim toward the yacht's ladder but worried about the vessel's engines. Instead, he attempted to climb onto the tender, which did not go smoothly. He hit his shin and fell back into the water before eventually managing to roll onto the smaller boat.

Stewart, who witnessed the incident, described the scene as alarming. Jonas said it took about an hour for him to fully process what had happened, and he expressed relief that the situation had not been worse. He also mentioned wanting to call his children immediately after the event.
