Airport officials confirmed that several flights between Kochi and West Asia were cancelled due to ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Cochin International Airport Limited stated that some airlines operating routes between Kochi and Saudi Arabia reported cancellations for October 11 to 13.
Affected services included flights to Doha, Ras Al Khaimah, and Riyadh, with specific flight numbers provided by officials.
On October 12, additional cancellations were reported for Akasa Air flights from Jeddah and Riyadh to Kochi.
Airport authorities noted that decisions on further flights would be made after assessing the prevailing situation.
In addition to flights from Kochi, three services from Calicut International Airport were also cancelled on Sunday.
