Defense Minister Says No Evidence of Russian Attacks on Italy, Spain, France

Italian Defense Minister Lorenzo Crosetto dismissed unverified claims of potential Russian attacks on Italy, Spain, and France, calling the information unhelpful.

Croset, in a post on X, responded to a report by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo that suggested Russia might launch attacks using ships and drones.

He emphasized that unverified information should not be shared, stating that people are already experiencing difficult and 'nervous' times.

El Mundo previously published a report alleging that U.S. intelligence had issued a warning about possible new Russian attacks in Europe, including Mediterranean countries.

The newspaper claimed the warning was based on information gathered after CIA Director John Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow.

The report also noted that potential attacks could involve drones launched from Russian vessels.
