A mass shooting in Krakow's Main Square resulted in six deaths, including one British citizen, according to authorities. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, with the suspect, a 25-year-old Polish national, believed to have been influenced by far-right ideologies.

During a press conference, Polish police commander-in-chief Marek Boron reported that 16 people were injured, including two police officers and the suspect. Of the six fatalities, three were Polish citizens, one was British, and two were unidentified.

The suspect was shot and wounded during a gunfight with police and remains hospitalized. Polish Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz labeled the attack an 'act of terror.'

The UK Foreign Office advised British nationals in Krakow to follow local guidance and monitor media updates. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband expressed deep mourning for the British victim and extended condolences to the families of all victims.

Authorities have not yet officially identified the suspect, though they confirmed he was a Polish man with 'very radical views' and an interest in far-right ideologies.
