Eleven people were killed and 27 injured in a collision between a coach and a truck in western Turkey on October 11, according to authorities.
The crash occurred near the entrance to a motorway between Bursa and Izmir, as reported by the Manisa district governor’s office.
Emergency services responded to the scene, with Turkey’s Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci stating the government was coordinating with relevant institutions.
A photograph from DHA showed the overturned coach lying across safety barriers with its windscreen damaged.
Turkish media reported that the drivers of both the coach and the truck had been detained for investigation, though their health conditions were not disclosed.
Some reports indicated the truck involved was a tow-truck, with Hurriyet suggesting it may have been driving on the wrong side of the road.
