The Brief

  • Yemeni army claims 336 Houthi fighters and commanders neutralized.
  • Over 1,087 strikes conducted using various military assets.
  • Operations targeted Houthi command centers, supply routes, and military positions.

Yemen’s armed forces reported neutralizing approximately 336 Houthi fighters and commanders during military operations under the 'Dawn of Yemen' offensive, according to Anadolu.

Military spokesman Col. Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaili stated that government forces executed 1,087 strikes in recent hours using warplanes, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers.

The strikes were directed at Houthi command and control centers, troop concentrations, reinforcements, firing positions, fortifications, and supply routes, according to the military.

In Taiz, government forces and allied Popular Resistance fighters conducted raids and counterattacks on Houthi positions, while warplanes targeted troop concentrations and military positions in several provinces.

Reconnaissance operations in Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, and southern and southwestern fronts aimed to prevent infiltration and disrupt Houthi reinforcements, the spokesman said.

The operations led to the destruction or damage of 112 military vehicles, equipment, supply assets, and heavy weapons, according to the military.

The military said it would continue targeting Houthi military capabilities while taking measures to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.

The operations occur amid renewed fighting between Yemen’s government and the Houthis, who have controlled Sanaa since 2014. The Saudi-led coalition has been involved since 2015 to support the government against the Houthis.

Recent weeks have seen intensified fighting under the 'Dawn of Yemen' operation, with both sides reporting attacks across multiple provinces.

The conflict has also reached Saudi Arabia, where the coalition intercepted and destroyed Houthi missiles targeting western regions, including a cruise missile on Friday.

Coalition forces previously intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched toward Riyadh, according to coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki.

The Houthis have also claimed attacks on Saudi oil facilities, airports, and military installations amid the ongoing escalation.
