Vikings' Jefferson to play; Addison, Beckham inactive
Vikings' top wide receiver Justin Jefferson will play, while Jordan Addison and Odell Beckham Jr. are inactive for Sunday's game.
The Brief
- Justin Jefferson will play after missing Week 5's game with an ankle injury.
- Jordan Addison is inactive due to a hamstring injury.
- Odell Beckham Jr. will not play despite being elevated from the practice squad.
The Minnesota Vikings listed their top two wide receivers as questionable on their final injury report for Week 5. The team made different decisions regarding their availability for Sunday's game.
Justin Jefferson, the team's leading receiver, will play despite missing last Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to an ankle injury. He was cleared to return for the upcoming matchup.
Jordan Addison, the team's second-highest target, will miss the game with a hamstring injury. His absence leaves the Vikings without two of their primary wideout options.
Odell Beckham Jr., who signed to the practice, squad this week and was elevated on Saturday, will not play. Head coach Kevin O’Connell stated Beckham would only play if the team was missing one of the other wideouts, which they are, but he remains inactive.
The Vikings' wide receiver options for Sunday's game include Jauan Jennings, Tai Felton, Myles Price, and practice squad elevation Jeshaun Jones. The team's other projected starters include defensive players and backup quarterback Max Brosmer.
The Vikings will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 6.
