- A Brussels meeting focused on Ukraine's postwar recovery and security guarantees.
- Russia continues attacks on Ukraine, with US mediating negotiations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that working-level trilateral talks with the United States and Russia are planned to take place within a week. The announcement followed a conversation with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Zelenskyy stated that the meeting with Witkoff and Kushner lasted approximately an hour and a half, and that preparations are underway for the next round of diplomatic engagement aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
In addition to the upcoming talks, Zelenskyy mentioned a significant meeting in Brussels that involved representatives from Ukraine, the United States, the European Union, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, NATO, the World Bank, and the global business community. The discussions centered on Ukraine's postwar recovery.
Another meeting in Brussels was scheduled to address security guarantees for Ukraine. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for continued negotiations to end the war quickly and highlighted air defense as a key priority, particularly the supply of interceptors for Patriot missile defense systems.
The Ukrainian President also stressed the importance of ongoing bilateral engagements with the US, especially under the proposed Drone Deal format, while expressing gratitude for Washington's support for Ukraine's independence and diplomatic efforts.
Meanwhile, Russia continues its attacks on Ukrainian territory, with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff previously announcing that Washington would mediate working-level negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11, focusing on postwar security, de-escalation, humanitarian efforts, and steps toward a peace agreement.
