The Brief
- Target's $30 Thanksgiving meal serves six people, up from four.
- The deal includes nine items, including a Butterball turkey and cranberry sauce.
- The offer is available Nov. 8 through Nov. 29, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
Target has launched a new Thanksgiving meal deal, priced at $30, which it claims serves six people, up from four in previous years. The price increase of about $10 brings the cost per person to roughly $5.
The meal includes nine grocery items, such as a Butterball turkey weighing up to 10 pounds, russet potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, and other holiday staples, according to a company release.
John Conlin, senior vice president of merchandising for food and beverage at Target, stated that the deal aims to provide shoppers with budget-friendly options that include both traditional and modern food trends.
The deal is valid from November 8 to November 29 and is not available in Alaska or Hawaii. It also includes an expanded selection of $5 sides, pies, appetizers, and wine.
Online reactions to the meal deal were mixed, with some shoppers questioning the quantity of certain items, such as the potatoes, and others noting the absence of dessert in the package.
Other retailers, including Aldi, Sam's Club, Costco, and Walmart, are also offering their own Thanksgiving meal deals with varying prices and serving sizes.
