Shilo Sanders Plans New York House Hunt Amid Bankruptcy Trial
Shilo Sanders, facing a $11.89 million debt, says he's considering moving to New York despite high costs.
The Brief
- Shilo Sanders plans to house hunt in New York despite high costs.
- He has turned down multiple high-priced rentals in Miami.
- Shilo is in the middle of a bankruptcy trial over a 2015 altercation case.
Shilo Sanders, the son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, is planning a house-hunting trip to New York, despite the high cost of living there. In a recent YouTube video, he discussed his intentions while in West Palm Beach, Florida.
During the video, Shilo engaged in a conversation with a man from New York, who warned him about the city’s expensive real estate market. Shilo responded with confidence, saying, 'It can’t get too much worse than this.'
Shilo has been house hunting in Florida for weeks, but has turned down several high-priced rentals in Miami, including a $14,000 monthly rental with stunning river views. He quickly lost interest after hearing the price.
Shilo has also mentioned that he is not interested in continuing to search for properties in Miami due to the high costs. He joked about his younger brother’s potential purchase, suggesting it would be for at least $2 million.
Meanwhile, Shilo is fighting to erase a $11.89 million debt from a 2015 altercation case. He filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October 2023, but the case is ongoing, with the bankruptcy trial taking place in Denver from August 31 to September 4.
During the trial, Shilo testified that he acted in self-defense. Judge Michael Romero has not ruled yet, and one of the key issues is the absence of missing video evidence. Deion Sanders, Shilo’s father, has also been involved in the case, with a sheriff’s deputy attempting to deliver a subpoena to him in August.
