Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP, addressed a rally in Delhi on Sunday, calling for the removal of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The event, attended by over 50,000 people, featured opposition leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Mamata Banerjee.

Gandhi claimed the opposition would confront the BJP leadership of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah following Kumar's removal. He accused the trio of undermining the people's voice through alleged vote fraud.

Kharge, Congress chief, stated that the 2024 polls were illegal, citing a 3% difference between the NDA and opposition and the deletion of 15% of voters under the SIR system. He argued that Modi was selecting voters.

Speakers at the rally reiterated allegations of voter list manipulation, with Akhilesh Yadav comparing the Ramlila Maidan to the historical battlefield of Haldighati, symbolizing resistance to oppression.

Yadav also warned that BJP's electoral defeat in Uttar Pradesh would lead to its removal from power.

Gandhi predicted that Kumar would face legal consequences.

Other leaders, including Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, criticized BJP's treatment of Muslims and its impact on Jammu and Kashmir, respectively.
