Crude oil prices declined on Monday as media reports suggested the US may pursue diplomatic efforts with Iran before resuming military actions.
Brent Crude fell to $111.36 per barrel, a 1.82% drop, while West Texas Intermediate dropped 2% to $102.05 per barrel.
US President Donald Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that diplomacy is preferred over attacks to resolve tensions with Iran.

OPEC+ oil-producing countries maintained their December production targets during an online meeting, with no immediate policy changes planned.
