The Brief
- Newly released police records show additional allegations against Packers running back Josh Jacobs.
- Allegations include slapping, grabbing, and restraining incidents dating back to 2021.
- Some victims did not report incidents initially due to fear or relationship status.
Hobart-Lawrence Police Department released case files to NBC 26, revealing additional allegations against Packers running back Josh Jacobs. The records include details of multiple incidents involving Jacobs, some of which occurred years before the May 2026 incident that led to Jacobs' arrest.
One woman alleged an incident in January 2022, which she reported to police in June 2026 after learning about the May investigation. She said Jacobs slapped her across the face and later took her cellphone as she attempted to leave his residence. The woman told investigators that Jacobs grabbed her by the hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down and later threw her onto the floor. The woman also alleged Jacobs spat on her and grabbed her by the throat.
Another woman reported an incident in April 2021, during which Jacobs grabbed her arms and bicep, pushed her against a wall near a window, and threw her belongings outside. She said she suffered bruising to her arms and pain and swelling in her rib area. Those records indicated responding officers observed no visible signs of injury, bruising, or damage consistent with a physical altercation.
A third woman told police in July that in May 2022, Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, and scratched her chest. She said she did not report the incident initially because Jacobs told her she could be deported. The woman said she suffered bruising to her arm and scratches to her chest which she said remained visible for about a month.
The accounts surfaced during the department's investigation into a May 23 incident at Jacobs' home, where the victim told investigators that Jacobs restrained the victim multiple times, obstructed the victim's breathing and prevented the alleged victim from leaving or calling police. Officers documented redness and what appeared to be scratches on the victim's head and scalp.
The report said police were given that woman's information by the initial victim in the May 2026 case that led to Jacobs' arrest and conviction. The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department also released body and dash cam video of Jacobs' arrest.
