The Brief
- Talks will occur November 10-11, as confirmed by the Kremlin.
- U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff announced the meeting earlier this month.
- Russian delegation will be led by Vladimir Medinsky.
The Kremlin announced on November 3 that Russia-Ukraine peace talks, mediated by the United States, will take place in Abu Dhabi from November 10 to 11.
U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, had previously disclosed the date of the meeting.
Witkoff had previously met with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, with all parties confirming the resumption of trilateral talks in November.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian delegation will arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11 to participate in the talks.
The Russian delegation will be led by Vladimir Medinsky, a close aide to President Putin, who has participated in previous negotiations that did not result in a breakthrough.
Medinsky, who was born in Ukraine, has co-authored Russian history textbooks that highlight Moscow's historical role in Ukraine.
