Jets rule out Wilson vs. Chiefs, Hall returns from quad injury
Garrett Wilson remains in concussion protocol, Breece Hall returns after missing five games.
The Brief
- Garrett Wilson ruled out for Chiefs game due to concussion.
- Breece Hall returns from quad injury after five-game absence.
- Jets' offense faces challenges without Wilson.
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson remains in the concussion protocol and will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The decision comes after Wilson was injured late in the Jets’ 38-33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday.
Coach Aaron Glenn confirmed Wilson will not practice for the third consecutive day following the injury. Wilson, who has 43 catches for 523 yards and three touchdowns, was frustrated by his limited role in recent games, including a game-sealing interception in the final moments of the Raiders matchup.
Breece Hall, meanwhile, is set to return to the lineup after missing five games with a quadriceps injury. Hall’s return adds depth to the Jets’ backfield, which has been performing well in his absence, with Braelon Allen leading the way with over 100 rushing yards in three games.
Hall had struggled with his rushing performance prior to his injury, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. With Allen’s emergence, there has been speculation about how the Jets will use both running backs, but Glenn and offensive coordinator Frank Reich have emphasized their plan to use both as a 1-2 punch.
