The INDIA bloc postponed its public impeachment of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to Saturday, October 31, due to heavy rains in the national capital. The event was originally scheduled for Friday.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh announced the rescheduling in an X post, stating the protest will be followed by the 'Chalo Dilli' Ramlila March on Sunday, November 1.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) supported the INDIA bloc's November 1 rally, urging the removal of Kumar and criticizing his actions as a subversion of the Constitution.
All India Students' Association (AISA) president Neha Bora also endorsed the rally, calling for Kumar's resignation and a halt to the SIR exercise, which she claims has irregularities.
Bora urged citizens to attend the Ramlila Maidan to protect their voting rights and uphold democracy, as part of the movement against the CEC and the 2023 law.
