The Brief

  • Defensive linemen Mike Hall Jr. and Mason Graham are inactive for the game.
  • Practice squad players Maliek Collins and Chris Williams are expected to fill their roles.
  • Offensive linemen Teven Jenkins and Parker Brailsford are also inactive.

The Cleveland Browns are set to face the New York Jets on Sunday, Oct. 11, at MetLife Stadium. The game is expected to be competitive, though neither team is among the league's most prominent squads.

The Browns' injury report indicates they will be missing two key defensive linemen, Mike Hall Jr. and Mason Graham, for the matchup. Both players have been significant contributors this season, combining for 19 tackles, seven for a loss, six quarterback hits, and five sacks.

With Hall Jr. and Graham out, the Browns plan to use Maliek Collins, Adin Huntington, Chris Williams, and Sam Kamara on the defensive line. Williams and Kamara were recently activated from the practice squad to replace the injured players.

Head coach Todd Monken emphasized the need for depth, stating that the team relies on its practice squad and development of players to fill gaps. He noted that when players are called upon, they must meet the expectations of their positions.

On the offensive side, linemen Teven Jenkins and Parker Brailsford are inactive. Jenkins has missed much of the season due to a back injury, and rookie Austin Barber has taken his place. Brailsford's absence is attributed to an unspecified issue.

Wide receiver Tylan Wallace and tight end Carson Ryan are also inactive due to knee and calf injuries, respectively. Ryan has been limited in practice all week, though his absence is not expected to significantly impact the offense.
