Arc Raiders Player Count Hits 7-Month High
Frozen Trail update brings back fan interest and boosts concurrent players on Steam.
The Brief
- Frozen Trail update boosts player count to 166,670 on PC.
- New content includes Pendola Pass, Grappling Hook, and free weekend.
- Player feedback highlights renewed interest in the game.
Arc Raiders has seen a significant rise in concurrent players on Steam, reaching 166,670 on PC as of the publication of this story. This marks the first time the game has achieved a notable spike since December 2025.
The surge in activity is attributed to the Frozen Trail update, which introduced new content such as Pendola Pass, the Grappling Hook, and a free weekend. These additions have drawn both returning and new players.
The update also brought new enemies, weapons, and gameplay mechanics, including the Tether Launcher. The Frigate, a new UFO-style Arc ship, was also introduced as part of the update.
Fan reactions on Reddit and social media have been largely positive, with many expressing surprise and excitement over the game's recent improvements. Some players admitted they had previously lost faith in the game but are now reconsidering their stance.
Despite the positive reception, some players remain cautious, noting that the current player count may not be sustainable. However, the update has clearly reignited interest in the game and is seen as a promising step forward for the title.
Embark has also announced plans for future updates, including a dedicated PvE mode and TV/movie adaptations for both Arc Raiders and The Finals. The game is currently available for 50% off on all platforms during the free weekend.
