The Brief

  • HomeView, a new smart home hub, will feature an A18 chip and support Siri AI.
  • HomePod mini 2 will use the S10 chip and be available in multiple colors.
  • Apple TV 4K will include an A19 chip and may have built-in microphones.

Apple is set to unveil three new products and updates to existing devices on October 13. The HomeView smart home hub, HomePod mini 2, and Apple TV 4K will be introduced during the event.

HomeView, an all-in-one smart home hub with a touch-enabled display, will be available in tabletop and wall-mounted versions. It will include an A18 chip with 8GB of RAM and support Siri AI for voice control.

The tabletop version of HomeView will feature better sound quality than the current HomePod mini and will be available in four finishes: Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Rose. The wall-mounted version will only be available in Gray and Silver.

HomeView will not have an App Store for third-party apps but will include a selection of Apple apps. It will also be accompanied by an 'Apple Home Collection' of accessories developed in partnership with brands like LG and Schneider Electric.

The HomePod mini 2 will use the S10 chip, an upgrade from the current S5 chip. It will be available in green, pink, blue, white, and midnight. The Apple TV 4K will feature an A19 chip with 8GB of RAM and may include built-in microphones for Siri AI.

Both the HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K are expected to launch on October 30. HomeView will be unveiled on October 13 but is not expected to launch until mid-November.
