Kylie Arellano, 17, was located in Oregon after a search that spanned more than 500 days. Law enforcement confirmed her safe recovery on Sunday.

The FBI's Salt Lake City field office has been involved in the investigation for more than a year, following leads from across the U.S. and internationally.

Federal authorities acknowledged the assistance of Oregon State Police, the FBI's Portland field office, and the Utah Department of Public Safety in the operation.
