The Brief

  • Delorean Bijon Brandon and Kaylee Nicole Markowski arrested in connection with Christina Downer’s murder.
  • Downer was reported missing after a welfare check on December 18, 2025.
  • Her brother stated she is 'no longer alive' and called for accountability.

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of Christina Downer, the sister of 'Saturday Night Live' writer Jimmy Fowlie, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Delorean Bijon Brandon, 41, Downer’s boyfriend, and Kaylee Nicole Markowski, 34, were arrested in Highland Park and Tarzana, respectively.

Detectives believe Brandon and Markowski were responsible for Downer’s murder and then disposed of her body and concealed the crime.

Downer was reported missing after a welfare check on December 18, 2025, and Brandon claimed she had moved out and left behind her car and dog.

Law enforcement officials continued to investigate Downer’s disappearance after her cell phone washed ashore on the beach in Santa Monica.

Authorities were led to search an Airbnb property in Joshua Tree, located in the high desert several hours from Los Angeles, in connection with her disappearance and conducted an extensive search with K-9 units and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Downer is 'no longer alive,' her brother said on April 29. 'Our prayers for her to be found safely have transformed into prayers for the truth to be revealed and for those responsible to be held accountable,' Fowlie’s post from April 29 read.
