Tanisha Singh Hits Record T20 Hundred for Delhi

Tanisha Singh struck a record-breaking century in Delhi's Senior Women’s T20 Trophy match against Hyderabad, helping her team post 262/6. Her innings of 119 off 47 balls was a key factor in Delhi's dominant performance.

Delhi lost early wickets, including Vanshika Lila in the second over. However, a disciplined bowling effort by Soni Yadav and Nazma Khan restricted Hyderabad to 126, setting the stage for a strong batting display.

Tanisha and Priya Punia formed a crucial 160-run partnership for the second wicket, with Priya scoring 59 off 28 balls. Tanisha was bowled by G Trisha, while Shweta Sehrawat contributed 26 off eight balls, including three sixes, to push Delhi past 200.

Delhi's total of 262/6 was supported by late contributions from Nazma Khan, Deeksha Sharma, and skipper Soni Yadav, who scored 15. Tanisha was named Player of the Match for her performance.

Speaking to News18 CricketNext, Tanisha explained her aggressive approach, noting that four fielders on the boundary allowed her to exploit gaps. She emphasized her focus on dominating the game and using the field to her advantage.

Tanisha also highlighted the importance of her partnership with Priya, who has represented India 15 times. She credited Priya's strategic approach and intent for boosting her confidence during the innings.
