Staten Island HS Football Power Rankings Remain Unchanged After Week 6 Bye
Week 6 bye for five Island teams leaves power rankings largely unaffected.
The Brief
- Five Staten Island teams had a Week 6 bye, leading to minimal changes in power rankings.
- St. Peter’s holds No. 5 due to competitive schedule and losses to top teams.
- Farrell remains No. 1 after consecutive wins, including a 56-14 victory over Xavier.
The PSAL’s 4A division had a Week 6 bye, resulting in no games for five Staten Island high school football teams. This led to little movement in the Advance/SILive.com power rankings.
St. Peter’s remains at No. 5 after a loss to St. Anthony’s. The Eagles’ schedule includes games against Curtis, Monsignor Farrell, Cardinal Hayes, and the Friars.
Sea stays at No. 4 following a win over Xaverian. The Vikings’ biggest victory was against Archbishop Stepinac, while one of their two losses came against Iona Prep.
Tottenville, ranked third, had a bye week and will host Erasmus Hall on Friday. Curtis, at No. 2, also had a bye and will face Abraham Lincoln the same day.
Farrell leads the rankings after a 56-14 win over Xavier. The Lions have defeated Chaminade and Stepinac in AAA games and will play Cardinal Hayes at Columbia University.
The rankings consider head-to-head results, strength of competition, common opponents, and momentum when determining team positions.
