The Brief

  • Uplift program automatically selects beneficiaries based on income criteria.
  • Cash aid is given in four P2,000 installments directly to SSS accounts.
  • Manual payout options are available for those without digital access.

The Social Security System (SSS) has launched a streamlined cash aid program for qualified low-income members under the government’s Uplift initiative. The program automatically identifies and selects beneficiaries, eliminating the need for applications, online portals, or long queues.

To qualify, members must earn a monthly salary credit (MSC) of P20,000 or less, with expanded support for those earning P10,000 or less. The aid is distributed in four installments of P2,000 each, directly credited to the member’s registered SSS disbursement account.

Eligibility requires that a member has made at least one SSS contribution in 2025 or 2026 and their name appears in the Philippine Statistics Authority’s 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System database as part of a low-income or near-poor household. Only one beneficiary per household is eligible, with the oldest member qualifying if multiple SSS members live together.

Once selected, beneficiaries receive the aid automatically without any action required. The P8,000 is directly deposited into the member’s registered SSS disbursement account, provided the receiving account — such as a bank account, e-wallet, or PhilSys account — is properly enrolled through the SSS Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM).

Members can verify their eligibility through the My.SSS Portal by logging in, checking for official notifications about Uplift eligibility and MSC bracket, and confirming that disbursement account details are active and updated under DAEM. If no funds have posted yet, they should ensure their details are correct.

For those without digital access, assistance can be received through manual payout routes. Beneficiaries must wait for scheduled announcements from their local government unit or check the DSWD Field Office’s social media accounts for their barangay’s designated date and location. Government personnel and local financial service providers such as LandBank, GCash, or Maya are typically present to assist with registration and ensure future tranches can be claimed digitally.
