Several Flights Between Keralam, Saudi Arabia Cancelled Amid West Asia Tensions

Airport officials confirmed that several flights connecting Keralam with Saudi Arabia and other West Asian destinations were cancelled due to ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) stated that some airlines operating services between Kochi and Saudi Arabia reported cancellations for October 11 to 13.

Affected flights included Flynas, Air India Express, Akasa Air, and IndiGo services to Riyadh, Doha, and Ras Al Khaimah.

On October 12, Akasa Air flights QP 551 from Jeddah to Kochi, QP 524 from Riyadh to Kochi, and QP 523 from Kochi to Riyadh were listed as cancelled, with QP 524 also cancelled on October 13.

A total of 10 flight services were reported cancelled at Kochi airport during the three-day period, with five operated by Akasa Air.

Passengers were advised to check their flight status directly with the respective airlines before proceeding to the airport.

Additionally, three flights from Calicut International Airport at Karipur were also cancelled on Sunday, including Saudi Arabian Airlines flight SV 713, Flynas flight XY 328 to Riyadh, and Air India Express flight IX 321.

Airport authorities stated that decisions on the departure of other flights would be made after assessing the current situation.
