Ireland's Fittest Family will return to television this Sunday, marking its 14th season. The show features updated rules, new challenges, and a fresh location for the competition.

The first round of competition, known as the Heats, will take place at the historic Haulbowline Navy Base. Over three weeks, two coaches will face off each week, with each coach guiding two families.

Anna Geary will coach the McCourts from Cork and the Tierneys from Galway. Morgan McCourt, a 57-year-old surgeon, is a triathlete and former rugby player. His daughter Lauren, a medical student, competes in athletics, while son Callum plays hockey and studied engineering in Dublin.

The Tierneys include Niall, a 47-year-old builder who plays golf and dances to stay fit, and his son Colm, a 17-year-old hurler and basketball player. Niall will also compete with his brother Tom, a 42-year-old contract manager, who played hurling throughout his life.

Andrew Trimble will coach the Ó Cathasaighs from Dublin and the McGilligans from Derry. Conor Ó Cathasaigh, a 58-year-old software engineer, recently made his hurling debut at age 54. His daughter Róisín, a 22-year-old college student, plays senior camogie and is a member of the Dublin Senior Camogie panel.

The McGilligans include Seamus, a 57-year-old plumber who ran his first marathon for his 50th birthday, and his daughter Erin, a 28-year-old youth support worker who plays camogie and Gaelic football. Erin recently won a double championship with her club.
