iPhone Pro 2027 Design Update Confirms Dynamic Island
Leaker confirms iPhone 20 Pro will retain Dynamic Island cutout.
The Brief
- iPhone 18 Pro models will feature a quad-curved display.
- Dynamic Island cutout remains for iPhone 20 Pro Max.
- Leaker confirms no hole-free display for upcoming models.
Digital Chat Station, a Weibo leaker, confirmed that the iPhone 20 Pro Max will retain the Dynamic Island cutout. The leaker responded to a user's question about the design of the upcoming iPhone Pro models.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to include a quad-curved display that wraps around the edges for a visually bezel-free look. However, the Dynamic Island will remain as part of the design.
Early rumors suggested the iPhone 20 Pro Max might drop the Dynamic Island for a hole-free display. But the leaker clarified that the display will still have holes, keeping the Dynamic Island feature.
It is unclear if the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 20 Pro Max will be the same size as on the iPhone 18 Pro. However, the inclusion of Face ID suggests it is likely to be similar in design.
The redesign is reportedly timed for the iPhone’s 20th anniversary. The changes are part of a broader set of updates for the iPhone 18e, iPhone 18, and iPhone Air 2 models expected in early 2027.
