New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the final two T20 Internationals against India following a calf injury sustained during the second match of the series.
Scans confirmed a low-grade tear in Ferguson's right calf, and he is expected to require another week of recovery before returning to play.
Matt Fisher has been named as Ferguson's replacement for the remaining matches, which are scheduled to take place in Auckland.
In addition to Ferguson, pacer Matt Henry is also out of the T20 series after sustaining a quad injury during the second game.
Henry's injury, also a low-grade tear, is expected to require one to two weeks of recovery, though he remains on track for the upcoming ODI series against India.
Fisher, who joined the T20 squad in Wellington as bowling cover, will replace Ferguson, while Brett Randell has been called up to the New Zealand A squad to fill Fisher's place in the match against India A.
Kyle Jamieson will remain in Wellington for the Ford Trophy and rejoin the main squad for the ODI series against India starting on November 4.
