A boat carrying 305 people overturned near Guhere, north of Obock, on the night of 8-9 October, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
At least 139 migrants, including 15 children, died in the incident, which occurred while the vessel was traveling from Djibouti to Yemen.
The IOM reported that 84 people remain missing, while 82 Ethiopian nationals survived the disaster.
The UN migration agency described the incident as one of the deadliest recorded along the eastern migration route between the Horn of Africa and the Arabian peninsula.
Authorities are conducting search and rescue operations, while local officials are providing medical treatment to survivors and organizing burials for victims.
The IOM is offering healthcare, food, and psychological support to 64 survivors at its migrant response center in Obock.
