Baptiste Veistroffer, a French cyclist, is set to embark on a 2,500km bikepacking journey through Vietnam and Cambodia. The ride, which will take place from November 13 to December 1, is part of a solidarity project aimed at raising funds for MolemBIKE.

Veistroffer will raise €2 per kilometre, totaling €5,000, with support from Ekoi and the Belgian Lotto. The non-profit MolemBIKE is based in Molenbeek's Maritime district in Brussels and focuses on cycling-related activities and projects.

The cyclist shared a preliminary map of his route on Instagram, along with details about the ride. He also mentioned that he will provide daily updates on his social media channels during the journey.

Veistroffer is known for his breakaway performances in professional cycling, including attacks on flat stages at the Tour de France and a second combativity award. His passion for bikepacking includes previous long-distance rides in Thailand and an almost 2,300-kilometre loop through California and Nevada.

This year’s ride is described by Veistroffer as a 'solidarity project,' combining his love for cycling with a charitable cause. The route through Southeast Asia will be his latest challenge.
