Australia’s first tour of South Africa has been rescheduled to occur after the inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy, which will be held in India between February 14 and 28, 2027.
As part of the revised schedule, South Africa and Australia will compete in a multi-format series from March 24 to April 18, 2027, as confirmed by the ICC.
The series will begin with a three-match T20I series, followed by a number of ODIs, and conclude with a one-off Test match at the Buffalo Park Stadium in KuGompo City, making it the first Women’s Test at the venue.
Cricket South Africa’s Executive Officer, Pholetsi Moseki, stated that hosting Australia is a special occasion, and thanked both Cricket South Africa and Cricket Australia for coordinating the new schedule.
Australia won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year, while South Africa reached the semi-finals, losing to host England.
The ICC Women’s Champions Trophy will feature six teams in a round-robin format, with the top two advancing to the final on February 28, 2027. All matches will be played at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai and the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Vadodara.
