Abraham Accords countries meet after Oct. 7 pause

U.S. diplomats convened the first official meeting of Abraham Accords countries since the Hamas attacks in October 2023, held in a Manhattan office tower.

The meeting included representatives from the United States, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Kazakhstan, marking the first time Kazakhstan participated.

The U.S. delegation was led by Under Secretary of Political Affairs Allison Hooker, who noted the significance of the meeting in resuming the expansion of the Accords.

The meeting was hosted by the N7 Foundation, which has organized similar gatherings since 2021. Jeffrey Talpins, founder of the N7 Foundation, emphasized the need to deepen existing relationships and find new areas of collaboration.

A senior administration official confirmed that the State Department and White House Special Envoy for Peace Missions are prioritizing the expansion of the Abraham Accords.

Participants discussed steps to formalize cooperation, with Talpins highlighting the potential for a more integrated and prosperous region through shared interests.
